Closure order to Tackle ASB and Drug use

On 18th May 2026, Harlesden and Kensal Green Safer Neighbourhood Team successfully obtained a Closure Order for two addresses in NW10. These addresses had been subject to persistent anti-social behaviour, including street drinking, loud music, drug use, and suspected drug dealing.

Local residents and staff reported that these issues had been ongoing for approximately 20 years, with a notable increase in activity during the summer months.

The Closure Order applies specifically to the front yard (curtilage) of the properties, up to the boundary adjoining the public footpath. This targeted approach allows police to address the anti-social behaviour effectively while minimising disruption to legitimate residents and staff.

Since the implementation of the Closure Order, officers have been conducting regular patrols to enforce the restrictions. Positive improvements have already been observed, with the area now visibly calmer, free from gatherings, and no ongoing ASB reported.
